Here I am with my new start and my new blog

Hi all,

I enjoy to read all the blogs on running here in the Philippines. So I decided to also start my own as I can't remember on who's blog I commented so it will be easier for me to keep track. I am yes like my blog name, a foreign runner staying in the Philippines. We (my wife, kids and me) are missionaries here all the way from South Africa. I started to join some races and did the following races
  • UP run
  • Rush at UP
  • Mizuno
  • La Salle

I enjoyed all of the races and met so many people and it is great but still I am shocked to see how few foreigners there are in these races. Please when you see a foreigner at the races, talk to us, we do appreciate it and we don't bite. I will as time continue blog my experiences, ask questions and log my times in the races. Please keep on looking as you guys dont need me but I do need you guys to help me in my running here in the Philippines.

Anyway, until next time and KEEP FIT!

Hi foreign runner, a.k.a. theleroux, this is great!! We have one more member of the runners/bloggers community in the Philippines. I'm sure we'll be able to attract more foreigners into the future races once they hear about you and all the stories you'll post.

Looking forward to meeting you in person and welcome to the Philippines. Hope it's not too foreign from your South African origin.

Hi foreign runner. Saw a blog entry of yours on another blog and wanted to stop by.

You and your family will really enjoy the experience there (if you haven't already). You're there at a time where running is really growing leaps and bounds. The runners / bloggers in the Philippines are wonderful people.

Hopefully, I'll get a chance to meet you when there in November. Take care and, as you would tell us, keep fit. - Wayne

Johnny,
it is so nice to write your name and it let me feel back home as there are many Johnny's in SA! Thank you for the warm welcome and it will be great if we can meet up at the races as I am planning to do quite a few.

tech spec,
I enjoy blogging, it gives others a chance to learn and explore. I will unfortunately not do the North Face as I am leaving for Palawan on Friday for one week. But after that I am back again in full force and will be at the Milo on 3 Aug. Maybe I will see you there?

sfrunner,
I enjoy reading your block as well. Pray you will have a safe trip back and will see you in November, after all it is a good month as it is my birthday month. Looking forward in meeting all you guys and have some great pics taken that I can send back home and post on the SA blogs back home.

Welcome to the world of runner bloggers! Hope to see you (and talk to you in Tagalog) in the Milo Marathon, though I'll only be joining the 5k Run--my second so far. My first was also 5k, in the Manila Half Marathon Challenge last July 6,2008. My race # is 76798 (so you'll know it's me).

Good luck!
